I’m not a fan of mice, except in preschool picture books! Our list of Letter M books for preschool will delight your little one as he or she learns the shape and sound of M.
Reading books with keywords in the title is a great way to introduce a new letter to your child. As you read the title out loud, emphasize the word that begins with M and the m sound at the beginning. Before you start reading, point to the letter and tell your student that moose (or mouse, or moon) begins with the letter M. As you read the letter m picture book, look for opportunities to point out and emphasize the sound of the letter m.
If you are working ahead to plan your letter of the week, you should also check out our list of letter L picture books for preschool.
